Project: ‘Quick Start’ career guidance CD-ROM

CMC are a career guidance and support company that wanted to branch out into Mass-Redundancy Support. This project was aimed at larger companies who were in the position that they had to make larger amounts staff redundant. The concept was to produce a support tool that would help staff to plan a future, giving them useful information and tools to aid a speedy transition into a new career or job.
E-magine developed many such tools including a CV-builder that asked the user questions about their career and subsequently ‘built’ a CV in Word and PDF from which could be emailed directly from the application. Other tools included a letter writing application that made the process of writing letters to potential employers a simple, painless task. The entire application contained a wealth of up-to-date information and links – utilising the SelfUpdater Desktop mechanism.
